Writing

July 2026

I enjoy constructing a text. Thinking deeply about about the reader. What will he or she think here? I love giving my text to others and observing if the punch lines hit. I love pondering on how best to say what I have to say. How to get to understanding in the clearest, easiest, and most enjoyable way. I love how calm it makes me — it really could be seen as a meditative act of sorts. I love being creative, and adding new forms of art to make the text fit together. I love expanding my vocabulary. Understanding nuances and grasping the true meaning of words. I love breaking the rules. Because all writing rules can be broken. There is only the reading experience and whether the text meets it’s purpose. Nothing else matters. I love finding new ideas while writing the ideas I already had down. New connections. New ways of seeing. Seeing that I’m wrong. Seeing that I know less that I think. Seeing that you are smarter than I assumed. I love the self expression that’s inherently part of writing. I’m grateful that language exists and that I get to use it to connect to you even though we’ve (likely) never met. I love doing this for you.
